Here at Dragon Athletic we run a CrossFit Kids programme for three different age groups. For all age groups our aim remains the same - to teach kids how to move safely within different movements and pair learning these movements with fun. We hope that pairing fitness and enjoyment will develop a lifetime love for being fit and healthy.
Each age group is highlighted below including some information on what each class involves.

5-9 YEAR OLDS

Within this class we teach how to perform bodyweight movements safely and efficiently, such as how to perform a bodyweight (air) squat. We aim to have fun, move well and build a solid foundation for this age group to progress onto more technical and loaded movements when moving into the older class.

9-12 YEAR OLDS

This age group are introduced to strength training through the use of barbells and dumbbells. This class focus on learning more technical movement such as the barbell deadlift and hang power clean. We aim to develop consistent movement patterns within these more technically demanding exercises.

TEENAGERS

Our Teen members have the opportunity to train twice a week within our Olympic Weightlifting and Conditioning class. The Olympic Weightlifting class focus on the Clean and Jerk, the Snatch, Squatting and Deadlifts. Within the conditioning class, we perform individual and partner workouts using dumbbells, kettlebells, box jumps, ski, row, bike and other movements to continue to develop overall athleticism.
